I lost my father almost 40 years ago. If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, you know how painful it is. For many years, I kept the pain in my heart. One day, after entering the world of thanatology and grief counseling I felt that, for my soul, I needed to write a book dedicated to his memory, with the purpose of helping others process their grief.
From the moment I started writing the first page, my heart felt different. My words would flow from the bottom of my soul, and in an instant, I knew that....I was totally embracing the grief that was still in my heart, and as I continue with my writing, I was able to release it, and let it go.
Writing this book was a soul-searching experience. It was an existential time in my life when I came to realize my mission and purpose and everything became clear and light. I was healing. I was able to transform my experience of loss. This is what inspired me to call my book Transform Your Loss. Your Guide to Strenght and Hope because...one can transform one's loss if one confronts it face to face, embrace the grief, and realizes there is life after a loss, and it can be lived with purpose and meaning.
This is the reason why I want to share with you this article. Nina Sankovitch is an amazing example of transformation.
